Mia can't open her eyes - the sun was so bright today. I will not complain though, bring on the warm weather!!!

Date with Daddy

Randy took Emma Grace out Saturday for a "Daddy Day"! Emma Grace was so excited, I was getting her dressed and of course had a cute smocked dress laid out but she insisted on her strawberry set. She said b/c strawberries were her and Daddy's favorite. She was so excited to go to the movies and her favorite eatery "McDonalds". I think she was more excited about the popcorn and Dr. Pepper that she was going to partake in then the movie, but ended up enjoying Monsters vs. Aliens, to my surprise. Randy said she throughly enjoyed the Dr. Pepper, a rare treat!! While Daddy and Big Sis were out, Mia and I spent some time strolling around the neighborhood and shopping at a local baby store.

so these have nothing to do with "Emma Grace's Date with Daddy", but had to share how much Mia enjoyed her fruit ??? I froze a piece of cantaloupe and put it in the fruit bag thingy (I have no idea what it is called) and she went to town. Absolutely loves it!!

Lunch Bunch

Nothing to special, yet Emma Grace was so excited to go to "Lunch Bunch" at school on Wednesday. This was her first time and she loved it. She says,"All the big kids" go to lunch bunch. She has a friend, Olivia (what's the chance?) in the 4's class and she was so excited to be able to play with her. Anyway, here's a pic of her before school with her lunch box!

Happy 5 months, Mia Kate

I can't believe that Mia Kate is already 5 months old! Time is flying by with her. It seems like yesterday she came home from the hospital. She continues to be a blessing to us. She is a wonderful baby, although she doesn't like to sleep anywhere but her crib. Too funny, Emma Grace was right opposite. She would sleep so good in her carseat and stroller. She started eating baby food, so far... bannannas and sweet potatoes. I tried peas and squash but she spit the peas back at me and gagged on the squash. O well, we'll try again.

She is beginning to cut her first tooth. I noticed her gum was swollen and this morning she has a little white (tiny) showing through. It's so small you can't even really feel it yet but can visual see it. She it doing pretty well with it, she isn't waking up at night but moning quick a bit.







These two are a glimpse of Emma Grace almost to the day she turned 5 months old.

Mia's 4 months Growth Stats

We went for Mia's 4 month well visit today. She is growing like a weed.
Below are here measurements;

Height: 25 3/4 inches (90%)
Weight: 14lbs 6 ounces (50%)
Head: Bad mommy, they didn't tell me the measurement but that her head was in the 25%


I am quite surprised her by her weight. I thought she would have been heavier, and she had just eaten a bottle in the waiting room. She looks quite chunky to me.

Celebrating Warm Weather

In celebration of the nice warm sunny weather we are having this weekend, we spent the whole weekend outside. It was great to feel the warm sun and hopefully chase away all the "Colds" we've carried around all season. The girls both loved being outside. I think Mia could live in the baby bjorn! I am hoping for the warmth to stay, I am ready to enjoy the perks of living at the BEACH!!!

Memories of Micheal

Today my brother would have been 40 years old. I am not sure how to honor this but I do know that I am more sad today than other years before. My sweet baby girl was named after Micheal and so I feel it special to post some pictures on behalf of her namesake. I wish that my girls would have gotten the chance to meet their Uncle Micheal but until we all meet again I shall share my memories with them. Here are a few photos of Micheal.

Mia Kate is 4 months old!

I can't believe it, Mia Kate is 4 months old. Time flies the second time around. She is a wonderful baby - so easy going. She sleeps great, naps great and laughs all the time. We do not go for her 4 mth visit until the 9th so I'll post her stats then.

I had to share this one. Yesterday, Emma Grace was educating Mia on Polly Pocket Princesses. And, believe me she knows everything about each and every one! This went on for around 15 minutes and Mia just laughed at all the info Emma Grace was sharing with her. What a sweet sister moment!


She had cereal for the first time on Saturday. It was kinda a love/hate relationship. She would love it one minute and spit it out the next. Below are some pics of her first bites. I took Emma Grace to the store and let her pick out a bowl and spoon for Mia. Emma Grace ate her first bites from a hand painted bowl Randy had gotten her in Turkey. O, well, the walmart Minnie Mouse was cute too, and so special since big sis picked it out.
