Turkey Day

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. We are thankful for my parents and nieces making the long trip. We enjoyed having them here and my girls enjoyed all the playtime!!
Emma Grace decorated the table with turkeys and name plates. She did a great job! She even decided where everyone would sit.

The nieces playing after Thanksgiving lunch. of course, Mia wasn't interested in sitting still for a photo and Emma Grace had to have a dress up on :_

Thankful Heart

My heart is full of Thanks on this Thanksgiving night. I have so much and often don't appreciate it the way that I should.

I am thankful for my husand. What a great husband and daddy he is!! He is full of love for me and my girls. I am thankful for the man he has become and the father he is! I am thankful we puts up with the good, the bad and the ugly of me. He accepts me full of faults and loves me for them. I am thankful for how hard he works so that I can be a stay at home mommy! I am thankful he supports my "shopping" habit(maybe i should say addiction) for my girls clothes. He loves to see them in smocked dresses and big bows as much as me :) I have trained him well.

I am thankful for my two sweet little turkeys, Emma Grace and Mia. What joy they bring to my life each day. I am thankful for Emma Grace's shy, sweet, kind heart. I am just as thankful for Mia's fun loving, and strong willed spirit. I am truly blessed to be called mommy by these two girls.

I am thankful for my parents. Recently I have had two very close friends lose a parent. I don't appreciate them quite enough. I have great parents who raised me in a christian, loving home. They supported me now and still today support the decisions Randy and I make for our families. I am thankful that my girls adore them and get extra excited to see them come into the door. And this year, I am extra Thankful they made the 12 hour drive to spend this holiday with us.

I am thankful for my sister and my brother. Both of them have been huge influences in my life. I am thankful for all the memories of Micheal and thankful that one day I will again be able to be with him. My sister is not only a sister but my best friend. We might disagree at times but at the end of the day she is still my best bud. My confidant!

I am thankful for my sweet nieces and the love they show my girls. Each of them hold a speical place in my heart as well as Randy's. My life wouldn't be complete with out them. From the moment they were all born I feel in love with these sweet girls. They are partly the reason I wanted my own.

I am thankful for my friends. Old, new and in between. Each of you have shaped my life and brought happiness throughout the years. I have abundance of love for you all!

I am thankful for life in general. I love life and hope that I can learn to live it to the fullest each day. I am thankful for the hand in life God has dealt me and hope that I can better myself with each passing day.

As I close, my list could go on forever, I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving :) I will say an extra pray tonight for all who have family serving to protect us and those who have lost loved ones. My God continue to bless our great country!

And... she's off

At exactly 12 months and 2 weeks,

Mia is off.... off roaming around the house...walking very slowly... It is so stinking cute to see a baby talking her first steps but very exciting for this mommy to see her baby girl getting so excited over walking. She giggles and grins with each step. And of course, according to big sissy, she did all the teaching!! I'll download a video soon.

NO Mia!

This morning as I was quickly trying to get ready and get my house ready for playgroup, Mia was constantly getting into trouble. I felt like I was reading the book, No David, but inserting Mia's name each and every page!

Here's how are day started - No, Mia don't get into the cabinets!

No Mia, you can't pull all the toliet paper out!!

No Mia, you can't dig in the gathroom drawers and pull everything out!

Yes, Mia you can pull anything out of the toy chest you want to!

Later on.... she's walking. Well, walking more than ever!

I couldn't post without including Emma Grace. This is a picture of her doing one of her favorite things - books!!

Mia's Halloween Birthday Party

We celebrated Mia's first Birthday with a Party on Halloween night. It was super fun. Mia enjoyed herself! Afterwards we took the kids all Trick or Treating. What a fun night!! Thanks to all of you who made Mia's birthday so special!

Mia's First Birthday Cake. Kudos to Ms. Traci. She did a wonderful job!!
The birthday girl all dressed up in her Birthday Tutu!

And yet another attempt at a Family photo.
Birthday Food Table... Mummy Dogs, Ghost Cookies, Jack o lantern grape cups... I was one busy mommy!

Even Mia enjoyed the bounce house. We didn't let her get inside with the 10 kids but she enjoyed bouncing around on the outside!

She LOVED the cake- WOW, she really likes sweets.

Yummy Yummy Cake

She got mad, really, really mad when I took the cake away. (yes, I gave it back to her)

Trick or Treat at Waterford

Emma Grace dressed up as Cinderella for her School Halloween Party (look at Mia peeking out the door in her walker ) She was suspose to be Cinderella for Halloween last year. But... I had Mia and she went home with GG & Papa and the costume got left behind.. so they got her Tinkerbell. This was a great opportunity for her to wear the whole get up minus the shoes which were too little!

Waterford Trunk or Treat - Friday Night. Emma, Emma Grace & Kailey

Mia "Cat" , not enjoying having her costume on.

An attempt at the two of them together. I now understand why my parents have very few pictures of me, micheal and Tonya together as kids:)
