"Under the Sea" Birthday Party

We celebrated Emma Grace's birthday on Saturday with an "Under the Sea" birthday party. She kept saying she wanted Cinderella until we actually got to Party City and she chose "Little Mermaid". It was quite a scaled down party to her last two but nonetheless it was great. She had a great time playing with her friends and her new toys. She took a 2 1/2 hour nap before the party so needless to say she was up until 11 pm on Saturday night. She insisted on watching her new "Little Mermaid 2" movie before calling it a night. Notice she is holding Ariel and Ninee!!

I took cupcakes and fruit to snacktime at school today. Of course, Emma Grace ate fruit and none of her cupcake, that she insisted on taking!!

Happy Birthday Emma Grace

I can't belive it. Three years ago today, my little princess entered the world. I sometime wonder what our lives were like without her. I wonder for what other reason could God had put Randy and I on this Earth, other than.. Emma Grace and our baby girl on the way. What a joy she has brought into our lives each day! As I was going through things, trying to catch up on Emma Grace's scrapbook, etc. I found a book that my mom gave Emma Grace when she was born, it has a quote that is also on the last page of her "First Years" scrapbook, it pretty much sums up what a child brings to life...

dear child,
you are life's most awesome miracle and love's most perfect gift. our lives were somehow incomplete without you--
now, each day brings a whole new world of amazing discoveries and delightful surprises.
You are life's most awesome miracle and love's most perfect gift. we look at each other and wonder how our hearts could have ever known the true meaning of love before there was you.

That's pretty much all I can say - Being a Mom is an incredible thing!!!

First Birthday

Second Birthday

Happy 3rd B-day. I took this before breakfast at I-Hop this morning. She wanted pancakes and cheese eggs! I'll post b-day party pics after tonight!

Emma Grace and Kailey

We have once again been blessed with good neighbors. (don't worry, TN - we still miss you guys BUNCHES!) This is Emma Grace and our neighbor Kailey. She is 4 days older than Emma Grace. They have a great time playing. Emma Grace introduced her to "dress up" last week. My child is obsessed with playing dress up! Having Kailey come over to play has been a life saver for me on days I am too tired to PLAY!

Look at the mess! This is quite possibly my favorite room in our new house. It's upstairs, hidden and HUGE! Some times it goes for days before we clean up toys!!

I love this one. They look like two old ladies trying to walk in the dress up shoes!

Look at this sassy outfit EG chose. I am pretty sure her Daddy will never let her leave the house with her belly showing!

Baby Update

Scheduled C-section date is set for Monday, October 27th @ 11:30 a.m. Things were good at the doctor today. I go back to the specialist on Friday for my bi-monthly ultrasound and stress test! Maybe I'll get new pics to post.

UPDATE - Things went well at Dr. Wright's (specialist)too. Baby girl is growing and moving right on schedule. I got new pics, but she again would not turn her face for us to see. I swear she just wants us to be sooo surprised!

2nd- First Day of Preschool

My how things have changed since last year. My baby girl went into preschool this morning and said to me, "Bye mommy, have a good day!". She was so excited to be heading off to school. However, I did have to wake her up this morning - imagine that, any other day she is bright eyed and bushy tailed at 7:45. I hope she loves Ms. Holley & Ms. Kym as much as she did Ms. Lori and Ms. Carrie!

Labor Day Fun! Since we have moved to Wilmington, Emma Grace is constantly asking to ride "little toot" on the Cape Fear River. Well, I don't think it's Little Toot, but she did enjoy the ride down the River! The Bough's came along and Emma Grace so enjoyed having Baby Colton with her. So, I am posting a side pic so you all can see my BIG BELLY! I know in the group pic I don't look too pg but look again - can you say BELLY!!!

Daddy's Girl - Just love this pic! How lucky am I to have these two in my life???
