Mia turns 10 months

10 months old and growing up so fast...

You...
* can stand all by yourself for quite a while
* have taken one step several times
* have cut the 2 top teeth, now you have 4 and the top outer seem to be on the edge.
* only take 2 bottles for the last month, you LOVE whole milk, but only through a straw
cup
* still sleep well
* have finally begun to chatter. You say.. momma, emma, bye bye and wave, hi and wave, and up
* you hum when someone sings to you. This is so sweet and I love it when you do!!
* You can clap, pat and are starting to twinkle your hands when mommy sings twinkle,
twinkle little star.
* you hate the vacumn cleaner!!
* You love to go into sissy's room and pull out all the books from her bookshelf Yikes! We have to keep her door closed.

Another point for Randy!

I am forever trying to find traits from me that my girls hold. Since they are both blonde, I get questions every time I leave the house.. Well, today, Randy gets another point! (He is oviously way ahead of me - LOL). I bought Emma Grace a new puzzle today and when we get home she wants to immediatley start working on it. I told her to go ahead and start mommy had to do a few things... you know check my email, facebook. LOL. Anyway, about 10 minutes later, Emma Grace comes to me and wants me to come look. Which leads us to the first picture. yes, she was almost completely done with a 63 piece puzzle. So, what do I do after I quick snap a picture.. I cheer her on to finish. And she did just that - the whole thing, right out of the box for the first time. So, you see... it seems she has her daddy's engineering mind!! Thank Goodness it appears she has my sassy mouth - hehe!

Em- Ma

My sweet baby girl who refused to speak up until about 3 weeks ago is now bursting with words. Her newest and by far sweetest is ... Em-Ma. I love it, although Emma Grace has reminded us several times that her name is not Emma, it's Emma Grace. Try to explain to a 3 year old that her 9 month old baby sister can't say Grace yet is impossible!!! It is super sweet to see these two together and even more super sweet to see Mia call out for her big Sissy.

So, just a recent shot of the girls freshly bathed and lotioned palying together.

A little side note... I read this quote on a blog yesterday. It is excatly what I would love to teach my girls aboutlife in general and about being sisters. I am lucky enough to say that "God made me and my sister, sisters, but love made us friends", and I hope and pray that my girls have the wonderful relationship that we do. So if I can send them out into the world with one another, always watching one another's back, then I feel I have taught them well. Ok, enough with the sappy, where's the great quote of the week..

"Remember when you go into the world to keep your eyes and ears wide
open. And be kind. Love one another. Take care of each other. Tell the
truth. Always do your best. Listen to the big people and the little people.
Explore new paths and have fun. Know that you are loved like crazy.
Give thanks for all your blessings. Above all else, love and you will do
wonderful things in this world." - Rebecca Pui
