Since we are heading to Alabama tomorrow, we decided to do Christmas with our family on Saturday morning. We weren't sure how Emma Grace would feel, but to our surprise, with the help of pain meds, she felt great and ready to see what Santa had left! Enjoy our journey through the past week...
So, on Wednesday night we decided to start letting the girls open their gifts. Of course, Emma Grace was very excited!
The first gift of Christmas at the Dunavant house - Super Why Game!
Mia not so happy about being told she needed to sit down!
On Thursday, while Mia was napping, Emma Grace and I made reindeer cookies!
Getting ready to open more presents on Thursday night. Emma Grace asked all day to open 2 more gifts!
On Friday morning, we got up at 5:15 to be at the surgical center at 6 am. Of course we did alot of waiting around but Emma Grace was a trooper.
This picture is after her surgery. We had been waiting for her to wake up for about an hour (in the waiting room). So happy to see how well she was doing - very tired and ready to go home!

The pictures got reversed. This is before. Waiting and watching TV.

Friday night was Christmas Eve at our house. Really, we just told EG that Santa was coming a little early to bring her and sissy their big gifts. She is getting Santa's cookies and milk ready, and of course carrots for the reindeer. Yes, this is 8 hours after surgery. She came home took a 5 hour nap. this was in between the nap and bed time, which was only about 3 hours. She was one tired girl.

They ate all their treats!

At 7:45 Emma Grace came into our room and announced Santa had already came! We had to make her wait until about 8:30 for Mia to wake up.

Their stools that go with EG's new desk. I love them.
